We discuss your goals and priorities, laying the foundation for effective construction project management. Ballpark estimate. Within 14 days, you’ll receive a rough price to assess if the project aligns with your budget. Design and budgeting. We collaborate with your designer or can recommend one, prioritizing what matters most while considering options for post-construction support. Contract. A clear written agreement detailing scope, price, and schedule ensures everyone is on the same page. Planning and permits. We manage the engineered drawings, finalize the design, and obtain necessary permits as part of our pre-construction services.

How Payments Work in Construction Project Management

In construction project management, you'll always have clarity on when payments are due and what they are for. Your contract clearly outlines the payment schedule.

For smaller projects that last under a month:

- A deposit is required to order materials.

- Payment is made upon substantial completion, which means when the work is finished and ready to use.

- A holdback is part of the contract amount that is retained until the end of the lien period, as mandated in Alberta.

For larger projects spanning two or more months:

- A deposit to order materials is necessary.

- Monthly billing occurs on the 15th for completed work.

- Payment is due upon substantial completion.

- A holdback is also applicable, as noted above.

In cases where changes impact the price, we will explain the adjustments and obtain your written approval before proceeding, ensuring transparency throughout our pre-construction services and post-construction support.

We provide comprehensive post-construction support by cleaning up the site and conducting a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything is in order. Any items on the list will be addressed promptly. Additionally, we offer a one-year warranty on our workmanship, in conjunction with the manufacturers' warranties on materials, all supported by our strong construction project management practices.
